It would be fair to say it’s been a bit of a slow Summer in the “guy” department for the old S.A.G. oakley sale 2014 – as you probably gathered that from my willingness to go on the Blind Date Destination Wedding. Really, aside from that, I can’t say I’ve gone on formal date since chaussures nike air max Downward Date.” href=”http://www.singleapproachablegirl.com/2011/03/upward-datedownward-date/” target=”_blank”>Yoga Instructor Guy. new balance sale Sure I’ve been hanging out with Hot Married Bartender Guy from time to time, but I’m not sure that counts as dating. Very unfortunately, he is too “bad on paper” to be in my dater consideration set.

So I’ve gone to 3 weddings, one 40th birthday extravaganza and worked my tail off for 3 months and my dating life has remained stagnant. Until now…

In the past week I’ve been randomly asked out by 3 guys.

Great, right?

Or maybe not. The thing is…I can say with all sincerity I do not have initial interest in any of these guys. I didn’t realize exactly how uninterested I was until 9:30 on Monday night when it hit me I was supposed to meet guy #1 for a date at 9:00. new balance 1500 And it’s not like I was running 30 minutes late. I was knee deep in a client dinner that would last for at least another hour. Wait. nike air huarache soldes that doesn’t sound appropriate…whatever, moving on.

I had accidentally, but blatantly stood up guy #1.

To this, most people ask, “S.A.G., why did you accept a date with someone you’re not interested in?”

S.A.G.: I never say no to a first date.

To this most people respond, “Um…why not?”

Let me count the ways…

1. Air Jordan XX9 I’m too much of a wuss to say no. nike flyknit (as showcased when I went to Senior homecoming with one of the most awkward guys in my high school class)

2. I’ll try almost anything once (maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised?)

3. basket new balance lyon Blog fodder

4. I like to think that when you’re in a dating rut, you just need to get out there (with anyone) to turn it around. It’s sort of like how you go on job interviews for jobs you don’t want to warm up for the interviews you actually do want

So, there you have it. I’m a cowardly, hopeful, opportunistic girl who believes practice makes perfect.

This is what I love about you. Never change. Since I’m married, I never say no to any kind of play, screening or art event, etc. that somebody invites me to, and in which they are involved. If somebody is actually out doing something in the world, I feel it’s our duty to go watch. In your case, it’s your duty to date. At least for now.

I applaud you for saying yes to those dates. I have so many friends that would say no. I truly believe you have to get out there and date. Just meet people. A first date is a great way to get to know someone. I have said yes to a first date with guys I wasn’t that interested in.

And like Phoebe said on Friends, “A girl’s gotta eat”
